UOP CAMPUS PARKING POLICY

UOP campus parking permits are now required weekdays between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m (times outside of those hours, Saturday, and Sunday are free). Paying for parking at the University of the Pacific is new for SFDC and it is important everyone understands how the system works.

The Campus Police drive through the UOP parking lots daily. They aim a camera at your license plate and a computer program immediately determines if you have a permit or not. This means that we must provide UOP with your vehicle license plate numbers, etc. in advance, so that the information can be put into the parking system. It’s so easy to enforce that you will surely be ticketed if you forget to purchase a permit.

The information below includes procedures to guide you through the process, links to the forms you will need to complete your parking permit registration, and important deadlines.

Three choices for Purchasing Parking Permits

Option 1:

SFDC ONE-WEEK SFDC DISCOUNTED PERMIT, $18 per week: This permit is administered by the SFDC parking chair. For A LIMITED TIME, you may purchase a one-week discounted permit.
This is ONLY available for those attending Stockton Folk Dance Camp.

The deadline to purchase a one-week permit is May 31!!

After this deadline, you MUST use one of the other parking permit options.

A parking permit for Week 1 will be good from Monday, July 21, to Friday, July 25.
A parking permit for Week 2 will be good from Monday, July 28, to Friday, August 1.

You will have a chance to let the registrar know if you need to park additional weekdays. Keep in mind that if you are attending both weeks of SFDC, you will need TWO one week permits.

You can pay by credit card online or pay by check by downloading the application form and mailing it with your check to the SFDC registrar. This is the only option that you can use to pay by check.

Option 2:

UOP ONE MONTH PERMIT: $50 FOR 31 DAYS: This permit is administered by UOP. You select the start date. These permits are only sold six weeks in advance, so you will need to wait until mid-June to purchase this permit.

To pay by credit card:

  1. Go to the UOP customer portal: https://pacific.cmrpay.com/permits/dashboard
  2. If you do not already have an account, create an account.
  3. After you create and verify your account, log in again.  You will now be on the UOP Permit Dashboard page.
  4. Choose Permit B Monthly Stockton from the dropdown menu.
  5. Enter your vehicle information: license number, vehicle make, model, and color.
  6. On the Checkout page, enter your credit card information and pay.

Currently, the cost is $50, but we can’t guarantee that it won’t go up, so purchase as soon as it’s available in mid-June.

Option 3:

DAILY RATE WITH PASSPORT PARKING APP: $8. This permit is generated daily by you using the Passport Parking app. You will need to pay EVERY WEEKDAY, NO LATER THAT 8:00 AM, for parking, using the app on your phone. DO NOT FORGET TO DO THIS EACH WEEKDAY BEFORE 8AM or you will receive a parking ticket. If you will only be parking on campus for a short time, the hourly rate is $2/hour.

To pay for parking each day:

  1. Download the app onto your phone from  https://www.passportparking.com or your phone’s app store.
  2. If you do not have an account, create an account with your information, including the license plate number for your vehicle.
  3. Once you have set up an account, use the app to pay daily.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What if I have a Handicap Placard or Plate?

A parking permit is still required to park on the UOP campus.  If you have a B Permit and a handicap plate or placard, you may park in any B-Permit area, in handicap or regular spaces.

What if I don’t know which vehicle I will be parking at camp?

SFDC weekly discounted permit: If you plan to buy or rent a car after May 31, fill out as much of the registration form as possible and explain the situation in the “Notes to Registrar” question. Then, MAKE VERY SURE YOU PROVIDE THE SFDC OFFICE STAFF WITH THE RENTAL CAR or NEW CAR LICENSE PLATE INFORMATION AS SOON AS YOU ARRIVE (or before if at all possible) at moc.liamg@pmacecnadklofnotkcots. This is YOUR responsibility. UOP is making a special concession to SFDC in offering the reduced-rate weekly permits. We must provide them with this information as much in advance as possible. If you forget, it is likely you will receive a parking ticket.

UOP monthly permit: Buy your permit once you have the vehicle information.

Can I put more than one license on my UOP monthly permit?

A UOP monthly permit is good for one car in the lot at a time. If you are not sure which car you will drive, register both under the same permit. But do NOT have both cars on campus at the same time. Both cars will be ticketed! If you are bringing two vehicles or a trailer and will park them on campus at the same time, BOTH vehicles will need a monthly or weekly pass or a daily permit.

What if I entered the wrong license number?

SFDC Weekly Permit: If you purchased the Discounted Weekly Permit, please INFORM THE SFDC PARKING CHAIR, BILL EAST, AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

UOP Monthly Permit: It is possible to correct the information through UOP. You may edit your ONE month permit before the start date.

What if I get a Ticket?

The instructions for paying the ticket are on the back of the paper ticket and on the UOP Permit Parking page: https://www.pacific.edu/student-life/safety-and-conduct/public-safety/campus-parking .

If you feel that you received the ticket in error, see the “Citation Appeal Policies and Procedures” on the ticket or on the UOP webpage. You may need to go to the Campus Police Office and speak with the Captain.
