Do I need a partner to come to summer camp?2025-07-13T04:29:14-07:00

Absolutely not. You do not need a partner. Lots of people come without partners, and we can all learn the partner dances by partnering with each other.

What is the Hole-In-The-Wall?2025-04-22T22:33:19-07:00

The Hole-In-The-Wall is a small cashless snack bar that opens after dance reviews every evening, 10:30 pm or later. You pay with a prepaid punch card which you can purchase on your registration form or at the office.

You may enjoy your snacks during the after-parties each evening.

Can I video record the dancing and what about photos?2025-04-22T22:46:49-07:00

No, video recording is not allowed. See the camper letter for details.

Please do not use your camera or phone in any classroom, Once-Over-Lightly, the After-Parties, or the Wednesday and Saturday night parties. Cameras are permitted at Wednesday’s Picture Night, banquet activities, around campus and at unofficial Camp activities. Official Camp photographers will be identified to document official Camp activities and the photos they take will be available online.

Where will Folk Dance Camp be in 2026?2025-07-02T02:42:59-07:00

WE’RE MOVING TO SANTA CRUZ!

This July’s summer camp will be our last time at University of the Pacific. Next summer we move into our new home at UCSC.

To commemorate this historic transition, we have a new pin for everyone. But there’s a catch — the pin has 2 pieces. If you come to camp this year, you get the first half. Attend next year and you get the second half. Tricky, eh?

The actual cut will be a bit different than you see here. You’ll get the whole tiger if you come this year!
